Carrefour Belgium Headquarters Installs GNR Products |

The Corporate headquarters of Carrefour Belgium, a major French Retail Chain located in Brussels, underwent extensive rennovations last summer in 2007. The project, headed by Freya Michiels of Bureau Bouwtechniek from Antwerp, called for new parking lot safety solutions on their rooftop car park. Parking curbs, speed bumps, and striping lay-out were needed for this facility which has a capacity of approximately 275 vehicles. |

Wolters NV, a manufacturer and installer of anti-collision protection devices for logistical and industrial environments, was contacted to provide solutions for this project. The rennovated parking facility installed a new waterproof surface in which no penetrations could be made through the waterproof membrane. This created an interesting challenge for Wolters. |

In order to comply with these restrictions, Wolters sought out GNR Technologies' rubber traffic safety devices. GNR's high quality, lightweight, durable products were the perfect solutions and could be installed on the waterproof surface with minimal penetration. The Park-It car stops were glued down with GNR's specially designed adhesive developed specifically for this use. GNR's Easy Rider speed bumps were anchored down with only 50 mm maximum penetration, again using the glue to fill all holes and ensure the surface was waterproof. |

The Park-It car stops were installed:
- In parking stalls to prevent vehicles from hitting the parapet wall
- To protect pedestrian walk-ways and prevent vehicles from parking on these surfaces
- In other specific locations to prevent vehicles from parking in unauthorized spaces

The Easy Rider speed bumps were installed:
- To slow down drive through traffic in the parking facility
|

The installation was done in two phases and completed in only two week-ends, finishing in September 2007. |

GNR's 12th Exhibit at the NPE - A Smashing Success! |

GNR's team was proud to exhibit at the National Pavement Expo (NPE) for its 12th consecutive year (from left: Mylene Page, Steve Engels, Allison Chow). Thousands of professionals in the Pavement Maintenance industry were in attendance at this years show. We had a great time catching up with some familiar faces as well as showcasing our line-up of recycled rubber traffic safety solutions to several new individuals. We had a response to our line-up of goods at this years show! |
